Internal IDs problem with component and modules 11 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm using Joomla 1.0.13 and ME 1.1.
The modules assigned ONLY to the ME component at the left and right disappear when I enter a category and so forth... breaking the page funcionality and design.

The reason for this is that link from the mainmenu to the ME component is: option=com_estateagent&Itemid=141

But the links within the component all use: "com_estateagent&act=cat&task=..."

i.e. link to the ME frontpage is: "option=com_estateagent&act=cat&task=0"
A category link is: "com_estateagent&act=cat&task=showCE&id=1"

Any solution or hack for this problem is appreciated.

URL is: http://cmsdemo.e24online.eu

This is a Joomla Demosite. I have a couple of components installed here.

I have changed some links in the php to include the ItemIDs and added a menu linked directly to the objects in top left menu. Tis way I tried to overcome the problem but it works only partially
(the ItemID's have changed since my last posting).

If you use the category module at the left and click on a link then you'll see that all modules on the left disappear.

The problem woudln't appear if I only had MisterEstate installed as the main component of the site.

But I didn't expect this problem as other components like VirtueMart don't have this problem.

Hi,

ItemID is currently not supported 100% within MisterEstate and the modules. I know this issue.

It will be corrected with the next update, which will be available soon.

Thanks for your reply.
I am looking forward to the next update.
It's viable that the module positions selection is flexible and workd with the IDs.

Thanks for your work.

Regards, Harald
