I am evaluating estate Agent and overall it is a fantastic piece of work .. there are however a few issues.
1. There are several mistakes in the english.php language file
Terms like "Handicap Righteous" should be "Wheelchair Accessible" plus there are several others. It would be much better to allow users to edit the words in the Component/Configuration screen. Also the term Expose should be DETAILS.

2. It would also be better if you could enable/disable some of the options to display things like Elevator or Air Conditioning ... if none of the properties/houses have these features.

3. Currency - although you have allowed users to list a currency .. it would be much nicer to allow them to place a currency symbol before the number such as ? or ? etc. Also can we have the option not to display the last 2 digits (the cents/pennies) 100,000.00 looks a little silly ... 100,000 is much better.

In other respects the Estate Agent Component is an excellent piece of work and I look forward to the next release!!
Keep up the hard work.

I am also just setting up a test install and from first look need to be able to disable many of the fields. We need a simpler system.

I have worked out how to change the text definitions ie Expose to Details - see the php file in the language section. Find and replace.

I cant see how to disable fields from display. Anyone else managed this ?

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul
To do this only visually (i.e no stripping of code etc) open estateagent.html.php in your usual text editor. Open the language file and search for the text that displays on your website the text that you want to make invisible. For instance - DEFINE("_EAB_OBJ_EYOBLT","Year Of Construction"

The key words here are _OBJ_EYOBLT. Highlight and copy. Now switch to estategent.html.php and do a search for the phrase. When found use standard html or php protocols for "hashing" out code/text.

Bear in mind that you may well have to hack the .css file or play with the html in estateagent.html.php to correct the layout for the bits you have removed.

Hope this helps

Does anybody has an idea to not display the last two digits? That would be great!

Mister Estate is fantastic! Good Work!
