I've used ME, and before that EA, for the last 2 years and have 4 sites running version 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 of the component.

As I wrote in a previous post (http://www.misterestate.com/component/option,com_joomlaboard/Itemid,7/func,view/id,1706/catid,9/limit,6/limitstart,12/)
I just updated a Joomla 1.0.13 site to the latest version, ME 1.1.0.
The server hosting the site runs mySQL 5.0.27 and PHP 5.0.4.

For the last 2 days since the update I've been banging my head against the wall reading forum posts, contacting server administrators and all trying to overcome the gallery problem:
" UPLOAD FAILED. FILE IS TOO BIG!"

I believed Darko when stating that the site was tested to work with mySQL 5, so I looked everywhere for the reason of the error I was getting.
Finally, as a last resort before reinstalling the backup I made before updating to 1.1.0, I turned ON Register Globals Emulation....

Well, what do you know??? No more senseless Upload problems...Now my file is not TOO BIG!! any longer....

Admin, I love you component dearly but THERE IS A PROBLEM with the gallery that has to be addressed.....

There are, literally, hundreds of posts describing a variety of troubles originating at Bind(?) level and, though some of the posters are real newbies, most of the others are smart enough to follow simple instructions and end up installing a component without having to spend DAYS trying to figure out why it dpnt work.

Please, please, go the way others have done.....go commercial, charge for a functioning product a sensible amount and provide the buggy version for free to those who are just getting on the CMS bandwagon because it is cool or whatever other reason....
And I will be the first to buy it!
I do thank you for your effort and hope you'll follow my, and many others' advice.
