Support for EstateAgent terminated + Google PR update |

in order to concentrate our energy on the further development of MisterEstate, the forums for the old EstateAgent component (which was the predecessor of MisterEstate) were closed and support is terminated.
If you´re still using EstateAgent, please update to MisterEstate.
There will be no more support for older EstateAgent versions!
Beside this, we would like to use this chance to inform you about the following:
Maybe you´ve heard the latest news about the last Google update already: during this update 2 weeks ago, Google has punished websites where textlinks were sold with decreasing their pagerank.
A lot of very popular websites is concerned. In Germany for example zeit.de, golem.de, netzzeitung.de, spiegel.de, brigitte.de and many others). They lost 2-3 points of their pagerank.
Unfortunately MisterEstate.com is concerned too, because we also sold textlinks to finance the free availibility of our MisterEstate component. Before the pagerank update we had a pagerank of 6/10, now we have a pagerank of 3/10 only. It is conceivable that our income will decrease because of the pagerank update and punishment through Google.
So the only way to finance the further ME development are the donations
of our users. Unfortunately the income through donations doesn´t cover
the costs of the project. The number and amount of donations is extreme
low, compared to MisterEstate´s Google entries (~220.000 at least)!
We like to develop and support opensource applications like
MisterEstate, but we can continue with this only, if we are able to
cover our costs at least. We don´t want to stop the project or
distribute the upcoming MisterEstate versions only for a fee, but we also can´t pay the development and support out of our own pockets constantly.
So everybody, who´s is using MisterEstate for commercial projects or has removed the copyright notice at the frontend is called up to support the project with a small quota of the income he/she has earned with MisterEstate.
Your contribution will save the future and further development of MisterEstate!

the amount of donations won´t reach a higher level and cover the costs of the project? Will you stop the further development or will you charge for MisterEstate in the future?
btw: sad to read that nearly nobody follows the principle of "get & give"!

the future weeks will show, what will happen!
I only know, that I´m not able and not willing anymore to pay the future development and support out of my own pockets.
If there´s not enough support from the users of MisterEstate, this project will have to die.
Sad but true!

I can't disagree on your point and for sure i know that once the projects i am working on that use your component will go live i will , for one, donate to your project.
I think yours a pretty good work and although i still have a couple customizations that i haven't managed to complete it is a pretty nice tool and i don't see why people shouldn't show their gratitude

Why, dont you use GoogleAds, maybe you could get some money from them...., just an idea...

Dear Folks
Happy to pay for continued development. Any ideas when MisterEstate 2.00 is coming out or when there will be a successful print/pdf of expose page add on ? would pay for that as the site is going live soon.
